I knew jan many years ago- we sat in the same room at lasduns later for a while at fosters.  for me the futurist and wholly inspirational. we drank on friday nights in wigmore st - red wine always (at his behest) sitting round a table. he died young leaving a wife and tiny baby. very sad - a unique talent gone forever...
